Sycamore square group were appointed to provide a turnkey solution for the failed glass façade. after a storm exposed weaknesses in the bolted glass entrance screen. The challenge lay in its impressive height of nine metres, featuring glass fins that support the entire glass façade. Sycamore Square Group were appointed to provide immediate Health and Safety guidance and to procure, design and manage the remedial works. We immediately undertook as structural inspection of the curtain walling and installed temporary scaffolding and sheet protection to ensure the entrance was safe for use and the emergency escapes maintained for the building users. Following a meticulous assessment, the team pinpointed components requiring replacement and enhancement to meet the current specifications. The result is impressive 900-millimetre-deep fins, with new panels and glass support fins. Sycamore Square Group Designed, procured and delivered the installation of the new glass façade system and upgrade of the internal reception finishes. We worked with our supply chain and structural engineers to design an innovative solution that mitigated the need to install large steelwork to the structure saving significant cost and disruption for our client. We designed the glass to the most competitive sizes available on the market to maximise value for money.
