Sycamore Square Group were appointed to provide Lead Designer, Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying and CDM Principal Designer services for refurbishment and remodelling works, accommodating student helpdesk and financial assistance services. The scheme was designed and procured on a rapid programme which was necessary to allow the decant of the teams into the newly refurbished space. This was critical to ensuring the programme for an adjacent social learning space on the campus was not delayed. We worked closely with Bradford based suppliers to develop a visually appealing acoustic raft solution, supporting local business with a lower carbon impact. The works were design in Revit Architecture. Several concepts were produced, and the production of a 3D model made user engagement easier and design revisions quicker. The programming and rapid design work undertaken by Sycamore Square Group ensured the University functions were relocated in a timely manner. This ensured dependent projects also handed over in time for the new academic year.
