Sycamore Square Group were appointed to refurbish an exiting suite of classrooms and uplift the dull and tired corridor and access routes, to create a new vibrant suite of computer teaching spaces. The client wanted to increase connectivity between 5 large teaching labs, to enable multiple classroom teaching. Through close liaison with the stakeholders and IT/AV team we installed large glazed crital style screens and doors to the corridors. We installed cross networking and casting CAT 6 data and new large screens and computer stations. The dark dull corridor had vibrant green feature walls installed and textured concrete tyles and back open cell ceilings to provide a contemporary look and feel to the new state of the art computer teaching facility. WE procured the furniture and contractor works and oversaw the design development and installation from inception to completion. The fast track project was designed, procured and constructed in 14 weeks. Through detailed surveys at inception we identified all risks and condition issues with both building fabric and mechanical and electrical at the outset. This enabled us to correctly plan and manage the scope of work and associated costings to deliver the project on time and on budget.
