Sycamore Square Group were appointed to provide Lead Designer, Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying, CDM and BSA Principal Designer services for refurbishment and remodelling works to a heavily utilised interconnecting walkway. The space whilst a heavily used transient space lacked function. Sycamore Square appraised the access/egress routes, acoustics, wind and activity of the space to design new floor finishes and seating to enhance the acoustics and to create flexible seating for social or study along the walkway to maximise function of the space and facilities for the students. The low cost project focused us on careful material and furniture selection to maximise value, function and durability. We ensured accessibility compliance and inclusive colour and material selection. We procured the fabric worksand the procurement works and contract administrator the project to a successful completion within a busy live environment on time and on budget and with minimal disruption to the daily operations and access.
